To paraphrase Shakespeare's King Richard II, "My kingdom for a flow chart!" Good grief. This store suffers from the worst drive-thru/parking lot logistics I've ever seen. They get six or seven cars in the drive-thru line and you have to wait until they move along to park in one of the spots that are always available. Clearly crossing the entrance to the drive-thru with the parking lot is an unmitigated disaster. The drive thru should come straight off of SE 12th Street or from SE 11th Court on the north side (receiving your coffee through the passenger window), but the idea of having parking lot customers and drive-thru customers flow in the same direction is crazy. That said, it's a Starbucks that has everything for better or worse; great coffee but small boxes of pre-packaged, overpriced foods. I recommend the sausage egg cheese biscuit for $3.25. The gentleman in front of me got a mini-box of food consisting of a small, hard-boiled egg and a small amount of sliced fruit. He had one of those disgusted "so this is the future" looks on his face. If you want to be a regular here, I recommend buying a house in the neighborhood and walking. If the owners want to do more business, they will have to make it easier to get there from here.

I am a gold card holder traveling from the west coast. I stopped by this location as it is close to the airport. As a regular Starbucks customer, I know what my iced green tea should taste like. First of, I order a White Hot chocolate and got White hot chocolate mocha instead. The cashier then said "this is is white hot chocolate" i reiterated "it's got mocha" she then issued me a refund for the difference after the attitude. Second order was an iced green tea...the barista already had my drink ready to go when the other barista told him something so he dumped the drink and made a new one. I took it anyway, no questions asked... This green tea tastes like tap water with a sweetener. Be glad I don't live in this area or your DM will be coming for you soon.

3rd time this week they messed up my drink :-( no biggie but they have the drive-thru from hell! Cars lined up on Federal!!

Went to this Starbucks for the first time this morning. Get ready to wait... And wait... for someone to let you pull out if you decide to park there. They did not think this through when they put in the drive thru. The drive thru is a like grand central station during rush hour! Service was ok. The lady got my order right but when I asked if they had any bananas I was told that they had them but they weren't unpacked yet. The boxes of bananas were literally directly behind her. Al she had to do was open the box and sell me one. Lazy! I won't be going back. The only reason they got one star from me is because the brewed coffee was perfect.

Maybe this was just a bad day, but this store was a terrible experience. The baristas were not friendly, no one smiling. Profanity was heard from behind the bar. No music was playing, which made a very stale ambiance and allowed you to clearly here the personal conversations of baristas loud and clear. The floor/tables were dirty, a barista came out and wiped a few tables with her hand. A customer was asking about what whipped cream vs whipping cream meant, and two baristas (one behind the bar, one in cafe) belittled him, speaking angrily and purposefully slower, like he was a child. Again, not one of the 7 baristas smiled the whole time. Not until we were about to leave, 2 hours later, did we hear/see any names on a cup. However, the pastries were nice, drinks were correct. A nice sized little cafe, just not a very "inspiring moment."

Coffee was good. Customer service was terrible. Got attitude from both staff members, first when I ordered and then when I picked up my coffee. Very rude.

They are fast, they are polite, and you know what you are getting every time. Great place!

Two words: DRIVE THRU!!!! Perfect for rainy days or when you have the baby in the car! Or both! ;-) I love this spot. Conveniently located on Federal south of Broward/Las Olas, it is en route to many of our errands- grocery, nails, office supplies, conferences, airports, etc. Located at the intersection of Davie and Federal, it is easy enough to turn around at a light, cut over from Andrews, head straight here from 95 or turn into. This is your typical Starbucks destination, with the exception of an awkwardly placed, (yet-oh-so-vital) drive thru. Until I had a child, I didn't realize the value of drive-thrus. When the baby is asleep or even just safely tucked into his carseat, the ability to swing in somewhere and pick up much needed nourishment is worth more than cars, stocks, bonds... to quote Mastercard... "PRICELESS". This drivethru provides one of the few times when I can truly enjoy a cup of hot coffee (I always get hot from here, even on the hottest days!). No one is eyeing my drink wanting a sip (no sharing!! ;-)), wanting to hold it (MINE MINE MINE!) or getting into trouble mid sip. The only caveat is the drivethru runs straight through the eight car length parking lot, around an awkward turn to the back of the building. If there are five cars waiting to order, the cars are already backed out onto federal highway. There are countless times I headed to this location only to find a backup and had to turn away. But-- it doesn't matter. The times I am able to turn in and order a beverage with or without a snack makes it all worthwhile.... FIVE STARS! ;-)

Great staff at this location. Nice people who always get your order right. The parking is atrocious, though. Dangerous lot because of the location, size, and drive through. Be careful, be respectful, and don't park illegally.

I have stopped coming to this starbucks for 2 reasons. 1. parking: you can't get into the parking lot Or you can't get out of the parking lot Also can't go through the drive thru bc always wraps around onto US 1 Makes me sad bc their drive thru guy is really cute, not that I ever see him anyway bc I always have to go in. Those of you worried about going in and waiting in line, dont. Everyone spends their time in drive thru (granted I go between 9 and 10 am) I'm just done with this location. Whoever owns it needs to relocate. I'll be going to the location on SW 17th.

This location is to small for a drive thru! Parking is airways full. Today I was attempting to leave when a guy in a BMW waiting in the drive thru line started yelling at me cause his "alarm" was going off. Meaning the proximity sensor that beeps solid when you're still a foot away. Knowing this, I still had plenty of room. So he pulls up next to me and proceeds to call me an ass hole, and says he has a gun, reaches to the back seat and says he isn't afraid to use it. Starbucks, who is the idiot that designs these places? Do you not consider customer comfort? Or is the bottom line now more important? What if I was killed over it? I go to Starbucks for the consistency and customer service. The coffee isn't the best.

I hadn't been to a Starbucks in florida yet. I didn't want to eat or drink from places I can easily access in los angeles. Unfortunately I've been having withdrawals and decided to stop by today. I must say, this location has been one of the worst I've been to. It's probably why it wasn't busy. The staff isn't friendly at all. They all had straight faces. I'm used to happy baristas in California. The music was so loud. I could hardly hear myself think. The place is very dirty. Trashcan is overflowing, floors had food crumbs and trash all over, and tables weren't clean. I asked for a morning bun, the cashier made a face as if my request had bothered her. She said, hold on let me see if I have one left. Usually, cashiers and baristas know their stock. Anyways, I miss my california starbucks. This place sucks!

a Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks...but this place has no parking and it is hard to get in and out of! so, I would avoid this location! the stuff they serve is fine and the employees are all standard issue Starbucks employees. they have like 3 or 4 molds that every Starbucks employee is manufactured from across the entire country.(but I digress)

As we all know, Starbucks has good coffee...but it's certainly not the best. Pastries are tastey but nothing special; I recently tried the coffee crumb cake & enjoyed it. The matcha green tea iced latte is fiercely delicious and one of my latest obsessions! Service is okay though the baristas often seem uptight with a touch of arrogant. I've seen their new breakfast menu items and they look good ... I'll post an update as soon as I try them. Also heard a rumor thay they were going to increase the sizes of their beverages, which is great news for me because I can suck down a venti iced latte or frappucino in seconds.

Yes, there is a drive through (rare in these parts) but I've been here a handful of times and I've gotten a eye roll and a tone from some of the employees. I think I'm a kind and courteous customer. The one on Sunrise and Bayview has a friendlier bunch but if you're just trying to drive through and get your coffee this one is okay.

I had a very unusual experience this morning at a local Starbucks, which I visit often (usually, great service... but not today!) I ordered two drinks, one of which I order on a regular basis. #1 - Grande blonde roast with soy and lightly sweetened. #2 (which was for a friend who has never tried the blonde roast) Grande blonde roast light and sweet. Drink #1 - Grande blonde roast with soy and lightly sweetened. When I ordered, the woman pointed to the self-serve sugar/cream station behind me and told me I had to sweeten the drink myself. I asked if they could do it behind the counter because. She said no and again pointed to the service station and repeated "you have to sweeten it yourself". I order this specific drink on a regular basis and have NEVER had an issue. I didn't mind too much as this drink was for me, so I said "ok". Drink #2 - (which was for a friend who has never tried the blonde roast) Grande blonde roast light and sweet. Like I said, this was for a friend. Although I love coffee and drink it often, I really have no idea how much cream and sugar constitutes as "light and sweet". When I ordered, the woman again pointed to the service counter and said "you can add your own sugar and cream". I asked her politely if the barista could do it as this was for a friend and I am not sure how much to add. She pointed, again, and said "its available for you over there". Now, I know this doesn't sound like a big deal, but I was shocked. I rarely complain about service at Starbucks (never had to really). When mistakes are made, I usually will keep a drink if they, for example, add whip when asked to skip - or made with milk instead of soy. But to say "you can do it yourself" when I have never had to in the past was unacceptable. Like I said, I've never had to "cream and sugar" the drink myself when I've asked specifically for the barista to do it (especially during my morning rush... on the way to work). And, FYI, the store was very slow at that particular time. I was the only customer ordering and when I left, only 1 car in the drive-through - so being "busy" wasn't the excuse. I hope some sort of feedback to the store can prevent this from happening to other customers in the future - and I hope I didn't ruin my friend's first experience of the blonde roast.

Always a pleasure! Fast and friendly service. Every time I'm in Florida it's a must stop for caffeine.

Although the parking here is a nightmare because the drive-thru line cuts right through it, the service is typically quick and friendly. I'm usually in and out in 5 minutes whether I go in or use the drive-thru. So don't be discouraged when you see that line wrapped around onto the street. It's usually worth the wait.

While the Sbux is average, the parking lot is an Epic Fail. Absolutely the worst in the county.

  • Dee B.

I've been taking my chances here for a minute with moderate success, but my drink was jacked up twice this week, today it was the wrong size AND totally undrinkable. I had to take it to the sb store down the street--who, AGAIN AS USUAL, with kind understanding open arms, remade my drink for no charge. Y'all get it together! Pass.

This Starbucks location is a-ok! It has a small parking lot and it's hard to get out of the drive thru. So if you ever come during a busy time, good luck!

This location is great! The fact that it has a drive thru is the main selling point for me - I am not the type to hang out at a Starbucks. The service is prompt, friendly and they always get my drinks just the way I like them. More Starbucks should have drive thrus!

We needed a break from our busy day of vacationing in this area and this Starbucks was perfect. While small, the seating area was comfortable and welcoming. I had a free birthday beverage to claim and happily went for a frappecino. My mom doesn't do dairy but was eyeing my cool drink. The staff was super helpful in talking us through the non-dairy options for Frappecinos and my Mom had her very first Java Chip made with rice milk. She loved it! We spent a lovely hour here chilling and refueling before heading out for a busy evening.

Just the worst sbux ever. Don't get me started on the parking/drive thru fiasco. See other reviews for those rants. But the dirty interior and the looks on employee faces ranging from disengagement to disgust are what could really be improved. Not to mention that my drink is almost never right and when you ask them if a certain ingredient was added, they will lie to your face. There were no customers in line today inside but for me, yet it took 10 minutes for the employee who took my order to realize she was supposed to be preparing it. She was the same one who lied to me about putting a shot of espresso in my frap, when I watched her not do it. Go 10 blocks in almost any direction to another location. This one deserves to be torn down.

This 'bucks is so good! Let's face it, Starbucks has perfected the consistently good experience in its stores. Your coffee will always taste good, the store layout is always familiar, sometimes you even wonder if that guy you saw on his macbook in the Starbucks in breckenridge is the same dude chillin at your local place. The only variance in the Howard Schultz inspired caffeine utopia is the partners who work the store. This place has an A class staff that makes me feel like I'm cheating when I go to other Starbucks stores. They are all unique, but all consistent in the single most important aspect of their job, they care about the guest they are serving. Add a drive through to boot and you can't beat it. It ain't broke, don't fix it! Just keep the coffee brewin!

You get 2 stars for being Starbucks. From there, it's all on the location and the staff to get any more. This place fails to gain any more stars as the staff, more than likely stemming from the leadership, is horrible. The drive through is always backed up, which obviously isn't always their fault. But after years of horrible experiences with the drive through, I went in the store itself and it was much worse. There was a huge line of people leading out of the door. As the line moved forward and as you got to the front, you either went to the left or right cash register. There was a regular employee on the left and the manager herself was on the right. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally made my way to the front and the manager's side opened up. I stepped up, made eye contact with her, and before I could order she went to help another employee. That is understandable, so I waited. Then the next customer was ready and they walked up to the left side and there order was taken. No biggie. Their order was filled and another customer to the left came up and gave their order. After 4 more customers had been helped on the left side, and with me still standing there waiting for the manager to come back and take my order, I finally asked the other cashier if she was coming back and he rudely informed me that only 1 cash register was open! What? Are you kidding me? The rude kid took my order, and I finally got my drink after 45 minutes inside. I probably wouldn't have taken the time to say all of this, except, in an effort to add injury to insult, as I am walking out I saw the manager walking outside on a break! During the busiest part of the morning! Unbelievable! Yes, I'm addicted to the drinks but if they don't find a way to start training employees and managers better, I'll find another place to go

Great Starbucks mainly because it has a drive through and I do not have to get out of my car to get a coffee. Plus the service here is extremely friendly ! Try their new blonde roast it is addicting !!!

Eh, no options. Granted I came at 4:30pm, the food options were bare. The drink was regular quality. The guy behind the counter was hilarious though! He was singing our food orders like he was on Broadway. I was entertained!

I'D RATHER DRINK A GLASS OF MY OWN VOMIT! Okay, i am a Gold-Card-Carrying Starbucks regular. I am addicted to the stuff. The drink I had here was putrid! They were out of pumpkin spice syrup, so I opted for peppermint. I always order a Venti coffee with an inch and a half of skim milk, and 5 pumps of sugar free flavor. I don't know if they just didn't use enough coffee in the filter for this drip-brewed coffee, but it was not full-flavored enough to balance the syrup, so guess what I got? MMM, mmm, a mouth full of peppermint rainwater. The other thing that annoyed me about this location was the filthy condition of the bathroom. This is so unlike any Starbucks I've been in. Non-functional and broken locks and latches, not to mention just all-around vile in terms of cleanliness. There were no air fresheners, and I think someone died in there. Stink-a-roo. It was like walking into a skunk's butt! One lonely star for the Starbucks location with the funny barista who should pay more attention to minding the store and less time chatting up customers with lame puns.

These guys need to figure it out and take the job seriously. Yeah, it's slinging coffee but at least take some pride in your job. Stand up straight and don't mumble for Christ's sake. Even though it has a drive through I counted seven people running the place. Every step they took was chaotic and appeared to be everyone's first week on the job, fresh out of school for the summer (this was in Feb.). Yeah, every other SB I've been to is doing it better. These guys need to step it up 5 notches and make more of an effort. I've seen sign twirlers take their jobs more professional. The fact that there is one on every corner (in the PNW) is the reason I keep going to SB but if this was the first, there wouldn't have been a second store.

Friendly staff, just very very cluttered inside. And parking is horrible, don't bring your car there's no space for it.

This Starbucks scores extra points for being the first drive-thru Starbucks that I could actually go to regularly! Located across the street from the Pompano Citi Centre Mall (so strange to say because for the longest time it was the Pompano Square Mall), this Starbucks location is convenient in terms of circling through the drive-thru, but perhaps limited on parking if you're actually going to hang out and go into the cafe. But the cafe itself is pleasant and modern, and the size of the store is large enough that you can find a space to lounge or study, but small enough that it isn't overwhelming. This particular location always seems to have 1-2 more baristas behind the coffee bar, more than likely because of the drive-thru. This definitely helps drinks get made quickly, even if you aren't pulling around in your car. Definite plus. Overall, the one thing that confuses me about this Starbucks is why it isn't actually located either in the mall or in front of the mall. Its location across the street in a strip mall is a little unexpected.

Bonus... Drive-thru!!! Offset by small and congested parking situation. A great option for off-peak drive thru.
